Prior Notification Approval for Harrogate Barns

Wildblood Macdonald Architects have recently achieved planning consent for the residential conversion of 2 redundant agricultural barns on the edge of Harrogate and within the special landscape area of the Crimple Valley.

Under the prior notification scheme for conversion of agricultural buildings (use class Q) to residential (use class C), we successfully negotiated for the change of use and conversion of 2 separate buildings on the site into 2 new dwellings.

Following careful consideration of the requirements of the prior notification process and presentation of evidence to demonstrate the continued use of the buildings under their original agricultural use class, the redundant site has now been saved from further dilapidation.

With a peaceful and private rural location, and with stunning views to the south and west, we are very excited to realise the full potential of this exceptionally beautiful site.
