We were asked to develop proposals to sensitively convert this semi-derelict, grade II listed villa into a mixed use scheme for a new village store and office accommodation.
The existing building sits within the grounds of Grade II listed Scarcroft Lodge, located within the Leeds Greenbelt, and involves redevelopment of the existing property to create a mixed use development. The new development will comprise of 3500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 3000 square feet of office space to the first floor.
The conservation area location means that sensitive and minimal alterations to the fabric of the existing building were required and the proposed designs take advantage of the formal landscaped surroundings wherever possible.
Planning and listed building consent were granted for the scheme in the spring of 2015.
