Westgate Surgery
Otley
Westgate surgery was designed to provide enlarged and updated facilities for a local medical practice in the historic market town of Otley in West Yorkshire. It incorporates seven consulting rooms, two treatment theatres and a range of support accommodation.
At the entrance level, the consulting rooms radiate out from a top lit central reception area and each have views to the North over the River Wharfe. A lower level provides for staff accommodation, group rooms and space for expansion.
The sustainable design incorporates a high level of insulation, sustainable technologies such as photo-voltaic cells to south facing roofs, a natural stack ventilation system and energy efficient central heating.
