The original Arts and Crafts style house was considered too small and consisted of numerous smaller rooms that were rarely used and were relatively dark. We were commissioned to remodel the entire property and design significant extensions that would remain faithful to the scale of the original building while providing open plan living spaces that would be flooded with natural light and be more functional for modern day family living.

The solution was to focus the main living spaces around a glazed cloister that opened to a newly landscaped courtyard to the rear of the property. While to the front, sympathetic extensions that maximised usable space under the large roof increased the size of the property considerably without detrimentally effecting the look and style of the original house.
