Weetwood, Leeds, West Yorkshire

Wildblood Macdonald has prepared the designs for 45 new homes in the Weetwood area of Leeds.

The masterplan for the development is currently being submitted as an outline application to Leeds City Council. The site is in the Weetwood conservation area and sits within Greenbelt land, adjacent to Meanwood Park. The design is for well spaced detached houses in a generous landscaped setting, forming part of the investment of a wider proposal for the future of Headingley Carnegie Stadium, and the ability for the facility to retain test match cricket in 2019.

The proposed development contains 45 dwellings, consisting of 33 detached dwellings over two or three storeys, 7 apartments and 5 affordable homes. The proximity to Meanwood Park means that the site has been designed with a public right of way running right through, allowing for green 'vistas' and generously landscaped buffers along the street scenes, as well as enhanced connectivity to the park itself.
